Democrat’s Priorities, Five Years + …

It is time for a New Democratic Party to get its priorities in order.

But First a few words on this blog thread. We started this blog thread on February 12, 2020, five years ago and thus the name. It was a time when Covid was germinating and a time when Trump’s handling of the budding pandemic gave all appearances that it would not suffice.

You can review individual Blogs from our Home page Archives section.

Today as work needs to be organized and done towards a New Democratic Party, I took the time to read all the Blog Posts since the initial one in 2020. To me, and hopefully you, there are some real nuggets that carry forward to this day. I think you might find them all worth a read.

  1. I consider the January 2022 Post as a classic, which we appropriately titled “I Have been Waiting”.

2. The February 23, 2022 post on Ukraine is a good look back.

3. September 27, 2022, on the Strong Biden Economic Recovery makes one ponder, why didn’t the good economic news work, my guess, negative media focused on the uneducated voter.

4. April 2023, post, we jump forward to a correct assessment by Biden saying “we are in a battle for the soul of the nation”. A deep reading of the post is probably important as now Democrats look to write a New Party Vision. In retrospect, Democrats totally misread the level of weaponry that would need to be brought to the battle.

5. The August 2023 Post on Climate Change is also revealing.

6. For longer term election posturing the October 6, 2023 Post makes some good points.

7. Maybe a highlight for me is the January 13, 2024 Post on Trump and the Evangelical movement.

8. And finally, today, the February 2024 Post on Ukraine history is relevant.
